Two axis Solar Tracker

This project develops a new support for photovoltaic panels improving the energetic production of solar plants out from urban areas. CMD Ingenieros designed the structure, made the detailed plans and built a prototype. The main innovation is the two-axis transmission system that turns panels towards the sun maximizing their performance. Compared with individual supports they will work with less energy and need less surface than other solar installations. Since 2010 GSF Capital is using this system on sun plants developed in Southern Italy; CMD Ingenieros received the patent on Spain in 2011.
