Simposium Internacional IASS 2009: 50th Anniversary of IASS.
Evolution and trends in design, analysis and construction of shell and spatial structures.

An agreement between CMD Ingenieros and the Polytechnic University of Valencia was settled for both parties to jointly organize the International Symposium IASS 2009: 50th Anniversary of IASS; Evolution and trends in design, analysis and construction of shell and spatial structures), that was held from 28 October to 2 September 2009 in Valencia.

The International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures (IASS) entrusted Professors Alberto Domingo and Carlos Lázaro with the coordination and organization of the 50th anniversary of the Association. CMD Ingenieros took charge of the technical part of the organisation of this event.

Parallel to the Symposium the exhibition Mamoru Kawaguchi, Structural Engineer: Innovation and Tradition in Structural Design was held. Carlos Lázaro and Alberto Domingo have been the organizers and curators of this journey along the works of one of the most special figures in the field of structural conception and design.
