We get back to one of our projects, adding its facts to our website. The Koper Sports Hall is a multifunctional building thought to host indoor sports but also cultural uses such as theater, music concerts, shows and exhibitions, planed in Koper, Slovenia.

The pavilion has a large steel roof with core glass area, which brings natural light to the whole compound.

The Regional Government of Valencia (Spain) has awarded CMD Ingenieros the Construction Project and Construction Supervision CV 580 Road, access to Quesa place.

It is a beautiful hilly stretch of the road and the project The aim of the project achieves a considerable improvement of the communication for users’ municipalities belonging to Canal de Navarrés region in accordance with the current regulations and latest road technologies.

Taibah School Project Unveiled

His Highness Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohamed Al Saud, Minister of Lower Education in Saudi Arabia, has unveilled the new Taibah School, which will be built in the Holy Mosque surroundings at the city of Madinah. The project developed by CMD Ingenieros proposes the reconstruction of the building complex and preservation of the stonewall in its basis, dating from the Ottoman period.

Presently the building hosts the Intermediate School, a Theater and a Museum of the history of the Taibah School, and the new design proposes a unique education scheme of 6.200 m2, integrating in one single volume the Calligraphy School, the Museum, a Theater and the Madrasa, gathering around two courtyards that provide the essential natural lighting.

The challenge has been bringing together the traditional islamic culture and the building physical reality with both concepts innovation and improvement.

Agreement with the Utrecht Hogeschool

CMD Ingenieros has been appointed by the Hogeschool Utrecht University of Aplied Sciences (the Netherlands) for the training of young graduates on its degrees and masters

Thanks to the signed agreement, we welcome Mick Kitzen our new building engineer trainee, who will be with us for the next months developing a project analyzing the earthquakes behavior in Bangladesh. Through a deep study of the seismic structures´ behavior in this region, the project will comprise a simplified model of the natural phenomenon with the objective of providing local engineers with a simple method for checking the structures against seismic forces.

CMD Ingenieros has been awarded with the construction project design of the conditioning and reinforcement of CV-475 road, in the section located between the town Venta del Moro and road CV-465, municipality located in the region of Requena-Utiel, Valencia. In order to solve the current problem of the road, higher traffic capacity lanes, wider corners and improving drainage elements will be projected.

The regeneration of old road track is additionally contemplated in order to integrate it again with the environment. Therefore, the new layout harmonizes road safety, comfort and respect for the natural environment.

Once approved the preliminary design, CMD Ingenieros team has begun the construction project of a residential compound in the city of Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudí Arabia. The project deals with an unusual architecture and landscape approach in Saudi Arabia, carrying out 13 villas, a gym, and a social club and an office building completed with common swimming pool. The compound has been thought for users looking for another needs, providing a flexible scope of living houses that fits the needs and comfort of different familiar and cultural guests. Admission of CMD Ingenieros in the Asociación Española de Paisajistas (Spanish Association of Landscape Architects).

After the evaluation of CMD Ingenieros’ experience in the field of landscape, we have been admitted in the Asociación Española de Paisajistas (AEP) as Protector Associate. The AEP (before known as Instituto de Estudios de Jardinería y Arte Paisajista) is the association of landscaping professionals of Spain. The association represents Spain in the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) funded in 1948, and the International Federation of Landscape Architects Europe, which groups the national associations of EU country members.

With this, CMD Ingenieros goes a step further in this field, being loyal to its philosophy of integrating engineering, architecture and landscape in our projects, harmonizing the demands of development with the environmental problematic, from design and planning.

Shopping Center in Cartago, Colombia.

CMD Ingenieros has completed the landscape and bioclimatic design of the Gran Plaza Shopping Centre, in Cartago, Colombia, for the firm Conconcreto S.A.S. The project aims to define the exterior urbanization design of the Shopping Center, providing a friendly blend between landscape and architecture, in a design that captures the corporate image and reflects it into the urban lines and geometry. A second aspect of the project is the bioclimatic design of the main construction and outdoor terraces.
